About

The FIRST Team 2765 was first formed for the 2009 by Sue Armstrong to gain knowledge and awareness of Robotics in the Cleveland County 4-H program. The first year, the challenge was Lunacy, a game using moon rocks that the robots were to shoot into opposing robots attached trailers. Ten students joined the team the first year, and the team won the Rookie Inspiration Award.

The second year, the challenge was Breakaway, a game played by shooting soccer balls into goals on the opposing alliance side. That year, the team consisted of about 15 students from middle school to high school age students.

Last year, the challenge was Logomotion, a game plated by placing pool tubes on a nine foot tall wall to score points on the opposing alliance side. The team consisted of about 20 students from middle school to high school aged students. Woody Flowers, co-founder of US FIRST, commended us on our simplistic design and being able to tell what everything does at just a glance.
